The shade to base to tint warmup helped me the most. That warm up helped me mix different colors to show a flow from one to the next. I painted a baseball on a baseball field because I've played baseball since I was seven. I play all year long so it's a big part of my life. The hardest part for me was making the right shades of brown for the dirt on the field. The brown would change every time I added some more paint to it so it was hard keeping the shade I wanted. Next time I would try to change the shades of dirt so they're not as dark as they came out to be. The part of the piece I found to be most successful was the baseball and the shadow of the baseball. The baseball looks realistic and the shadow goes from dark to light the farther the shadow is from the ball.
